Edward J. (Ned) Coyle Jr., 64, of Minooka sectoin of Scranton, died unexpectedly on Tpuesday, February 16, 2016 at the Regional Hospital of Scranton.  He and wife, the former Marguerite Wallce, would have celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on March 16.

The son of the late Edward J. and Nan Domboski Coyle, Ned was a graduate of South Scranton Cenral Catholic High School and the I.B.E.W. Apprenticeship Program.  He also attended Lackawanna Junion College.  A union electrician for over 35 years, he retired from the I.B.E.W. Local 81 in 2011.  He was a member of both the Casanova and Minooka golf leagues and was a die-hard Penn State Fan.  A devoted husband and father and a loving son, bother and Uncle, Ned was a life-long member of St. Joseph's Church at Divine Mercy Parish and an organ donor.

He is also survived by is son, Michael, a student at the University of Scranton; brothers, Michael and wife, Kate, Scranton; Tom and husband, Omer Goodman, Dallas, Texas; sister, Mari and husband, Bob White, New River, Arizona; brother-in-law, Michael Wallace and wife, Sharron, Scranton; aunts, Winnie Moberg, Scottsdale, Arizona; Ann Coyle, Sea Girt, New Jersey; Margaret Guerrucci, Pompton Plains, New Jersey; uncles Edmund Domboski, Lancaster; Alex Domboski, Palm Bay, Florida, and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.  

The funeral ill be Saturday, February 20, 2016, at 10 a.m. from the Eagen Hughes Funeral Home, 2908 Birney Avenue, Scranton, with mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Joseph's Church at Divine Mercy Parish, 312 Davis St. interment will be at St. Joseph's Cemetary.

Friends may call Friday from 3 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, contributions mahy be made to Nad's name to Catholic Social Services, 516 Fig St., Scranton, PA 18505 or a charity of the donor's choice.
