Paul Francis Quinn, 74, of Jacksonville, N.C., died Monday, May 9, 2016, at the Naval Hospital, Camp Lejeune, N.C.

Mr. Quinn was born Feb. 13, 1942, in Scranton, Pa., to the late Edwin and Marie Scheigg Quinn and attended school at Saint Mary's of the Assumption High School. After graduation, he joined the Marine Corps and served 21 years and retired as a captain (LDO). He then worked as the MCCS director at MCAS, New River, and retired after 20 years of civil service. Paul enjoyed coaching basketball for the Special Olympics North Carolina athletes. He also enjoyed and was very competitive in softball and tennis.

Funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Friday, May 13, 2016, at Infant of Prague Catholic Church in Jacksonville, with the Rev. Jeffery Bowker officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville.
