(copied from 2013 obituary): She was born April 10, 1942, to the late Stanley and Eleanor Kalinoski Cresiski. Her flair for fashion led her to an early career in retail women's clothing and modeling. She later became a flight attendant with Alleghany Airlines, now US Airways, and incurred major injuries in a fiery crash in the mountains surrounding Williamsport, Pa., in 1965. Her actions in saving passengers from the burning plane, despite having her own injuries, earned her citations for heroism. She provided caregiver services in the community and for many years cared for her mother, who was a victim of a severe and debilitating stroke. Barbara Ann loved her family and was sympathetic to the needs of others as well as animals. She was generous to all to the extent she was able to lend her assistance where needed.
