Joseph Mulrooney ## - Class Of 1962

Joseph J. Mulrooney, 79, a resident of Roaring Brook Twp., died Saturday morning at Geisinger Wyoming Valley. His wife of 58 years is the former Linda Moore.

Born in Scranton, son of the late Joseph A. and Ruth E. Sporer Mulrooney McAndrew, he was a member of St. Eulalia's Parish and was a graduate of St. Mary of the Assumption High School. Since 1966, he was a member of Local 81 IBEW. In 1980, he cofounded Mulrooney and Sporer. He was honorably discharged from the Pennsylvania National Guard. He was also a member of Bradenton Elks Lodge 1511.

Also surviving are a son, Eric Mulrooney and wife, Patricia, Old Forge; three daughters, Michelle Drake and husband, Alan, Stuart, Fla.; Denise Maleski and husband, Paul, Brackney; and Deborah Mulrooney, Clarks Summit; a sister, Sally Ann Prechinsky and husband, Andrew, Jermyn; a stepsister, Jean Marie Carroll and husband, Michael, Avoca; seven grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

He was also preceded in death by a brother, Francis Mulrooney; a stepfather, Bart McAndrew; and a stepbrother, Bart (Rusty) McAndrew Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday, Nov. 28, at 11 a.m. in Immaculate Conception Church, 801 Taylor Ave., by the Rev. Patrick McLaughlin, pastor. Entombment, Cathedral Cemetery.
