Joseph O'Donnell - Class Of 1964 VIEW PROFILE

Joseph G. O’Donnell, 76, of Menifee, CA, originally from Minooka, died in his sleep on October 12, 2022. He was born in Scranton on March 29, 1946, to the late Joseph “Bud” and Mary Mangan O’Donnell and was the fourth of twelve children. He was a 1964 graduate of South Scranton Catholic High School. After graduation, he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force serving for four years and was a proud Vietnam veteran. After relocating to California, he began a long and distinguished career with United Parcel Service rising to an executive level position. Through shrewd investing he was able to retire early. In retirement, he used his entrepreneurial skills to establish a successful home inspection business in Southern California with his daughter. He is survived by his former wife, Nancy Hollenback O’Donnell, and 2 children, Patrick and Amy, all of California; eight sisters, Mary Ann (Bob) Dougherty, DE; Patricia O’Donnell, Taylor; Kathleen (Mike) Ruddy, Las Vegas, NV; Therese (Matt) O’Donnell, Boston, Mass.; Peggy Morgan, Scranton; Elizabeth (T.J.) Finley, Scranton; Dorothy (Geoffrey) MacGregor, Dalton; and Eleanor Fetch, Minooka; two brothers, Edward (Mary Ann), Orlando, Fla., and Timothy (Sue), North Kingstown, R.I.; and manynieces and nephews, grandnieces grandnephews. He was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanne Sullivan. Burial arrangements will be private in California.
