IN MEMORY

Leroy Demuth ## - Class Of 1961

Lee G. Demuth II died Friday, Aug. 18, 2023, after an illness. He is survived by his beloved wife and best friend, Mary Margaret Fuller Demuth. Our famous private saying between us was, "I will love you more today than yesterday and less than tomorrow."

Lee was born in Scranton, Pa., son of the late Roy and Lucille Aveline Demuth. He was a 1961 graduate of St. Mary's Assumption High School. He was treasurer of his class and attended the University of Scranton. Lee was a self-employed Scranton businessman for over 50 years. His passions were his family and business. He gave both his all. His greatest accomplishments were being a loving husband for 54 years and a great father. He was always a very generous person. Lee always embraced and practiced the Roman Catholic faith.

He is also survived by his sons, Dr. Lee III, Ryan and James Demuth, all of Dunmore, Pa. Surviving are a sister, Joanne Davis (Ed); four brothers, Richard Demuth (Linda), Gerard Demuth (Andrea), Gary Demuth, Daniel Demuth and Rhea Demuth, from the area. He is also survived by a brother-in-law, Philip Fuller, from Jefferson Twp.; also several nieces and nephews.

Many thanks to Dr. Carl Barsigian, M.D., Jennifer Pierce, PA-C, Nurse Kellie, Dr. Thomas Churilla, M.D., Dr. Jeffrey Gryn, M.D., Dr. Joseph Leo, D.O., Hospice of the Sacred Heart and everyone else who graciously contributed to Lee's care.

A Mass of Christian Burial was held at St. Paul Parish. Per his wishes, cremation arrangements were held by Albert P. O'Donnell Funeral, Dunmore, Pa. Interment was at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Moscow.
