Trudy Hatfield, 69 years young, of Harrisburg, passed on Wednesday, September 20, 2017. Born in Scranton, PA, she was the daughter of Jack and Libby (Egan) White and was a devout member of St. Catherine Laboure Church.
Trudy was a graduate of South Catholic High School and the Mercedian School of Nursing. She was employed by Villa Teresa Nursing Home and Grayson View Assisted Living. Trudy was a dedicated and compassionate nurse who cared for the residents with unwavering dedication and commitment for well over 40 years.
She was the embodiment of unconditional love for those whose lives she touched. She is remembered fondly for her warm smile and calm presence. She enjoyed volunteering during her years of retirement, taking her grandchildren to Hersheypark, attending countless concerts, plays, performances, and sporting events with excitement and joy. Trudy enjoyed traveling with her husband, playing trivia with her friends, and spending time at the beach with her loving family.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother Damian White and sister Betsey Rieder. Surviving is her husband David of 48 years, three children David Hatfield (Nancy), Tina Solomon (Jay), and Brian Hatfield (Kelly); sister Susan Kochis (Stephen), brother Peter White, and sister-in-law Marilyn White all of Scranton, PA.; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Her greatest joy in life was being the proud grandmother of her seven grandchildren: Ryan, Molly, Annie, Matthew, Katie, Alison, and Erin.
The family would like to extend a very special thank you to doctors and staff at the Pinnacle Health Community General Breast Care Center. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that donations be made in Trudy's name to the American Cancer Society .
A visitation will be held at Neill Funeral Home on Sunday, September 24, 2017, from 6 p.m.-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at St. Catherine Laboure Church on Monday, September 25, 2017, at 11:30 a.m. A burial service to be held at Ft. Indiantown Gap immediately following the Mass.

So sorry to hear about Trudy. She was a lovely person and we shared a family connection in that her niece is married to my cousin's son.
