Nancy B. Stefanac, 70, of Scranton, died Nov. 29, at Geisinger Community Medical Center.

Born in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Stanley and Ann Griffin Rejrat. She was a graduate of South Scranton Catholic High School and the Mercedian School of Practical Nursing. Before retirement, she was a dedicated nurse employed by Holiday Manor and Geisinger Mountain View Care Center. 

She was a member of the Church of the Good Shepherd, Scranton.

Nancy was a loving mother and grandmother. She cherished time spent with her family and adored her grandchildren who knew her as Babci. She was an animal lover. She also enjoyed watching old movies, going to the beach and shopping. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by two daughters, Laura Hopkins and husband, Michael, Scranton; and Valerie Stefanac, Scranton; two sons, Nicholas Stefanac and wife, Emily, Spring Brook Twp.; and Michael Stefanac, Dunmore; six grandchildren, Shaun and Emily Hopkins, Madelyn, Austin, Matthew and Ashley Stefanac; a brother, Edward Rejrat and wife, Kathy, Scranton; nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 1780 N. Washington Ave., Scranton, by the Rev. Howard Stringfellow. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.

Friends may call at the church from 9 until time of Mass. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church of the Good Shepherd, 1780 N. Washington Ave, Scranton, PA 18509. Arrangements by Deserae Gondella Malone, F.D., Nicholas Chomko Funeral Home, South Scranton.
