IN MEMORY

Rosemarie Hedman (McNulty) - Class Of 1963

Rosemarie (McNulty) Hedman, age 75, a five-year guest at Abington Manor and formerly of Dunmore, passed away Monday morning at Allied Hospice after an illness.
Born on October 24, 1945 and raised in South Scranton, Rosemarie was the daughter of the late Terrence F., Sr. and Margaret (Grady) McNulty. A graduate of the former South Scranton Catholic High School, upon marrige Rosemarie moved to New York where she had worked in the airline industry for several years. Upon her return to the area, she settled in Dunmore while raising her beloved daughter, Bridget.
Of devout Roman Catholic faith, Rosemarie was a faithful member of St. Peter’s Cathedral in Scranton where she was a familar face at their daily mass prior to illness.
Rosemarie was one of Boscovs most loyal customers; a fixture at Abington Manor’s bingo game; and never one to pass up sweets. Above all else came her grandchildren whom “Grandma Rose” would do absolutely anything for, and she also acted as a “Grandmother” to numerous other children she met. Now at peace, she’ll always be missed by family and friends.
She is survived by her loving family, her daughter Bridget McAndrew and husband Jim of Scranton; her grandchildren, Jim, III, Mackenzie and Ryan McAndrew; her siblings, Margaret Dubas and husband Walter of Mechanicsburg; Ann Malosh and husband John of East Stroudsburg; and Terrence McNulty, Jr. and wife Betty of Scranton; and many nieces and nephews.
Her family would like to acknowledge and thank the amazing staffs of both Abington Manor and Allied Hospice for the collective care given to Rosemarie.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled for Saturday at 9:00 AM at St. Peter’s Cathedral, 315 Wyoming Ave., Scranton, to be celebrated by Msgr. Dale Rupert, Pastor, with burial to follow at the Cathedral Cemetery.
Family and friends may pay their respects on Saturday at the church from 8:00 AM until Mass.
