Denise Brocavitch ## (Lynott) (1964)

Judy Testa of Eynon passed away peacefully on Sunday at Menorah Park in Beachwood, Ohio, surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. Her husband of 49 years is Edward Testa.

Born in 1947 in Scranton, her parents were the former Veronica (Jaconski) and Leonard Gorski. She graduated from South Catholic High School class of 1964 and was a graduate of Marywood College class of 1969. During her career as a business teacher, she taught from 1981 to 1985 at Sacred Heart High School in Carbondale and from 1985 until retirement in 2012 at North Pocono High School, where she was also the business department chairwoman and adviser to Future Business Leaders of America.

Judy fought a courageous battle since being diagnosed in 2013. She never stopped traveling to be with friends and family. She appreciated and actively participated in yearly trips to New York City for the New Dramatiss Luncheon, bus trips with girlfriends and family trips to the beach, Disney and, most recently, Paris, in June of 2018. She enjoyed spending time with her wide group of supportive friends at the Eatery, Colarusso's and Sebastianelli's.

In addition to her husband Ed, she is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Chaiten (Louis), Cleveland, Ohio, and Alicia Testa (Paul Chaytor), Lawrence, N.J.; and her three granddaughters, Edith and Lillian Chaiten and Chelsea Chaytor, whom she adored and who adored their Grammy. She is also survived by a sister, Patricia Murray (James), of Springfield, Va.; and sister-in-law, Donna Krajc (Jack), Greensburg, Pa.; several nieces and nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday morning from 10 to 11 followed by Mass at 11 in Sacred Heart Church, 1101 Willow St., Peckville, Pa. At the request of the family, interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Judy's name to Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Attn: Women's Health Institute, P.O. Box 931517, Cleveland, OH 44195, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
